Personal Biography

Why do you love UCI?
The people that make up UCI are really what set it apart from other universities. I’ve made so many lasting friendships with students from my residence hall, in clubs, and in classes! Just in general, everyone at UCI is so friendly. Every member of staff and faculty is enthusiastic about their line of work, which translates to a high quality education and on-campus experience. Every individual anteater contributes to UCI’s inclusive and respectful campus climate.

How can you be a successful Anteater?
Since everyone at UCI is intelligent and hardworking, sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in other people’s achievements and negatively compare yourself to them. The key to success is to remember that everyone goes at their own pace, and personal progress shouldn’t be compared among different students. Don’t get discouraged if you feel like you’re falling behind your peers. Some people graduate in three years, and others graduate in five; what’s important is that you learn at a pace that fits your goals and your life outside school.

What is one fun fact about yourself?
I wouldn’t consider myself a drama kid, but I’m a big fan of musical theater! I’ve only seen two shows live at the Pantages in LA, but my dream is to go to New York and see as many musicals as I can on Broadway. If you see me around I’d love to hear recommendations and gush about favorites!
