Personal Biography

Why do you love UCI?
How could you not fall in love with the diverse community built around UCI?  I’ve had the honor of meeting the kindest souls on the planet, professors with infectious passion, mentors who empower me to push my limits, and friends who have me laughing with tears until 5AM. If I wasn’t an Anteater, I would’ve missed out on such an incredible support network and a truly transformative college experience. Nowhere else can you find the distinctly boba-fuelled, “Zot! Zot! Zot!”-chanting culture of UCI, and it’s played an enormous role in shaping me into the person I am today. It also has the best mascot (catching Peter walking around campus is a religious experience), Therapy Pet Thursdays, and a half-hour drive from Disneyland, so what more can you ask for?

How can you be a successful Anteater?
During my first week, somebody told me, “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable,” and that mantra has stuck with me ever since. It might sound cliche to say that UCI has endless resources and opportunities, but if you don’t put yourself out there, you’ll never come across the amazing people, classes, and involvements that could literally change your life. Seek out new challenges and don’t be afraid of failure because your fellow Anteaters are here to support you! So go to that club meeting, apply for that board position, take that CompSci class even if coding scares you — you only experience college once, so make the most out of your four years (and all those tuition dollars).

What is one fun fact about yourself?
At Disneyland, I rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad 7 times back-to-back in 1 hour, and honestly nothing will ever top that as my proudest accomplishment.
