Personal Biography

Why do you love UCI?
UCI holds a very special place in my heart. Academically speaking, it has a great program for computer science and engineering, and these programs continue to grow in strength and in number. Because this is my interest, this was important to me. In addition, there are so many different opportunities, both academically and socially, for students depending on their interests, from being a research assistant to joining a Quidditch (or any sports team) to being a peer editor at the library. My most favorite part of campus is the individuals that I’ve met along my college journey and being able to learn and grow alongside others.

How can you be a successful Anteater?
I believe that success is subjective. However, there are certain fundamental tips that I would encourage new students to consider. First, be open to making friends in your classes. You can start by finding people that sit around you (discussions are a great way to get to know people). Second, challenge yourself to try and learn something new. You never know if you like something unless you try it. And third (and last), try different organizations to meet new people and grow with them!

What is one fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about myself is that I don’t like making playlists, and so I typically listening to my close friends’ playlists if I do. I tend to listen to full albums, instead. I’m also obsessed with blueberries. 🙂
