Peer Academic Advising Program

About the Program

The Peer Academic Advising Program is the source of student-to-student academic counseling based on both the academic and personal experiences of UCI students.

During the academic year, we maintain regular office hours in our respective academic units. We assist students in selecting courses to best fit their college and career paths, planning quarterly programs of study, learning about the various majors and minors, obtaining information about UCI’s resources and opportunities, and adjusting to life as UCI undergraduates.

Why meet with a peer academic advisor?

Peer Academic Advisors undergo training as a collective whole, and in our respective academic units.  Take advantage of our vast knowledge and experience– we can help you plan out a successful career here at UCI. We have experienced the challenges of selecting classes, managing time, choosing, and living with roommates, operating within a budget, dealing with family, and finding ways to enjoy ourselves in Irvine.
